The Idaho Veterans Service office was contacted by Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington D.C. concerning a 75th Anniversary/Commemoration of the Battle of Wake Island. Thanks to the many Veteran Service Organizations in the Treasure Valley, the Marine Inspector-Instructor Staff at Gowen Field and Active Duty Marines from several different locations from across the country, the event is going to be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Veterans Memorial Park, Boise, Idaho.
